The title of this blog is important to me and came to me July 4th. Not a coincidence, I’m sure. No one but ourselves is responsible for inner transformation which reflects in our lives on the outside. Sometimes, we want to just rely on someone else to take care of everything. That desire is ok, but in the end, it is always up to us personally.
Living in a world with such complexity and so many problems that certainly affect us, how can we possibly begin to address them?
An activist would say, “write letters, participate in marches, create meetings to counteract the pollutants.” Yes, if this is your bent. But, also, you’ll want to change your emotional response to feel open, loving, and responsible to change any inner negativity. It’s so easy to blame the outside or create excuses for why things are as they are. How do we replace discouragement, pain, and fear with a positive energy?
The goal of the Empowerment Process is to create that opportunity. No one has the answers to your dilemmas other than you. Having helped to figure out exactly what is bothering you, what your opportunity for change is, can be very helpful. Then, you can engage in the Empowerment Process, a valuable tool that will get you to a place of total acceptance, transformation, and integration of the new, positive empowering reality.
