Self-love is the KEY to unlocking the treasure that holds your dreams and biggest desires. Whether you want more money, better health, fulfilling relationships or noticeable success, you are in-line with pretty much what everyone wants.
Below is an empowering exercise for you to try. This isn’t about what you have achieved, but about who you ARE. It’s about your Being, which flows from within. The big take-away here is that if you love yourself, it is easy to be accepting and loving of everyone and everything around you. That we can call, higher consciousness.
Here are a few tips that you can use to feel so much better about yourself.
1. Every time you get in front of a mirror, stop and say “I love you.”
Why is it that you feel worthy of receiving love from others, but not from yourself?
2. When you receive a compliment, just say thank you.
You are being complimented and loved even by those who may not really know you. It might even be for them. Why not let yourself be appreciated? You don’t need to justify or explain to earn a compliment.
4. Forgive yourself
No matter how much and how many times you may have felt that you behaved badly, forgive and forgive some more. Forgiveness sets you free to move on and try again.
5. Love Your Body
No matter what shape you might be in, love and honor your body. Doesn’t it belong to you?
6. Say No when you want to
Say “no” to people and things that don’t feel good to you. This will create space for all of the things that do want on the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels. Energetically, you have won the respect and love for yourself.
7. Say goodbye to perfection and judgement
Striving for perfection often damages self-confidence when you expect too much and in too short a time. Overwhelmed, you may put something off because you want to avoid making a mistake. And, this thinking will then apply to others whom you judge for their inability to make things happen. When you judge yourself, it is more than likely that you judge others.
10. Talk to yourself as you would a best friend
Your self-talk can propel you into kindness and self-love, a greatness that you will never be ashamed of. The choice is always yours.
Always remember, you are your own BLESSING! Thank you for BEING here.
Life is a journey up a spiral staircase; as we grow older, we cover the ground covered we have covered before, only higher up; as we look down the winding staircase below we measure our progress by the number of places where we were but no longer are. The journey is both repetitious and progressive; we go both round and upward. – Yeats
