Healing is such a loose concept. What does it really mean? For people with physical conditions, it often means getting out of pain with medical measures, allopathic and alternative, to feel relief and normal again.
For many, emotional healing is major concern, and often a cause of the physical imbalance. Feeling balanced, centered in the present moment, happy, and even perpetually blissful may be the goal for what is “normal.”
Taking the fear and worry out of ill health, on whatever level, is a key player in actually getting better. It seems common that what we worry about is just putting our attention on what we don’t want.
What to do? Meditation certainly helps. I’ve been a practitioner of the Transcendental Meditation technique for many years which gives me deep rest and a way to release accumulated stress. Beyond that, I’ve needed to focus directly on a way to eliminated worry, fear, and anything that compromises my wellbeing.
Life experiences and situations always give us the opportunity to look inside ourselves and see what it is we need to do in order to feel comfortable. Over 20 years ago I began this adventure with an energetic transformational healing method that came my way when one of my children was diagnosed with advanced cancer. In 2006, I developed my own work which I now call the Empowerment Process®. This simple 10-step Process is also something I teach in week-end workshops, on-line, and plan to deliver in book form.
